How is eyebrow transplantation done?

Eyebrow transplantation operation is performed with the logic of FUE hair transplantation. Eyebrow transplantation, which takes 1.5-2 hours, is performed under local anesthesia. After the operation, the patient is discharged.

Up to 1 week, small pin-sized crusts occur in the transplantation area. Since these scabs will shed, the patient can often return to his daily work and social life without being known.

Swimming, solarium, sauna, Turkish bath, sun exposure and heavy sports should be avoided for 15 days. The transplanted eyebrows begin to grow after 3 months and take their shape by completing their emergence within 7-8 months.

In the first year, the eyebrows will grow as fast as the hair will show the characteristics of the area from which they are taken. The ends should be corrected by cutting at 15-day intervals. After 1 year, your eyebrows will begin to acquire the properties of the place where they are transplanted, and their growth rate will slow down and the need for correction will gradually decrease.

DHI Technique in eyebrow transplantation?

DHI technique can also be used as an alternative to FUE technique in eyebrow transplantation. In this method, the extraction of the roots is the same as the FUE technique. However, the channels where the roots will be placed on the skin are not opened during the planting phase.

The roots are placed in the special Choi pens used in the DHI technique and placed directly under the skin with the help of this pen. The DHI technique is a more effective method in eyebrow transplantation.

Its advantages can be listed as lower wastage rate, more frequent planting and shorter recovery period. The only disadvantage of the DHI method compared to FUE is that it is more costly.
